The Z4 model was released as a replacement vehicle to BMW Z3 version.

The 2009 BMW Z4 model won the Red Hot Design Award in 2009.

First Generation (2002-2008)

The first generation BMW Z4 model was introduced in 2002 as 2003 model. It was offered in both coupe and roadster forms. It was also called as Land Shark and the model was designed by Anders Warning.

Available engines to the model were 2.0 liter I-4, 2.2 liter I-6, 2.5 liter I-6, 3.0 liter I-6 and 3.2 liter I-6 versions. The transmissions available were 5/6 speed manual and automatic.

As far as the exterior dimensions of the first generation BMW Z4 model are concerned, it had the wheel base of 98.2 inches, length of 161.0 inches, width of 70.1 inches and height of 51.2 inches.

The high performance BMZ Z4M model was introduced in 2005. The standard engine to the model was straight-6 version that delivers 330 hp of power and 262 lb ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a time span of just 4.8 seconds and the top speed gained by the model was 155 miles per hour.
